Golf’s greatest legends will compete at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam

11 major champions and 4 Hall of Famers set to shine at the 49th Hassan II Trophy

Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the effective presidency of His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation (RMGF) and the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association present the 49th edition of the Hassan II Golf Trophy. This prestigious event will take place from February 3 to 8, 2025, at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat.

Since its inception by His Majesty the late King Hassan II, the Hassan II Trophy has stood as a beacon for the sport, consistently drawing the most iconic figures in global golf.

The 2025 edition boasts a remarkable field of 66 champions representing 12 nations, including 11 Major winners with a combined tally of 16 Grand Slam titles. Among them are four World Golf Hall of Fame inductees: Colin Montgomerie, winner of the 1997 Hassan II Trophy; José María Olazábal, a two-time Masters champion; Retief Goosen, who claimed the U.S. Open twice; and Ernie Els, who triumphed in Rabat in 2008.

This year’s competition will also welcome the tournament’s recent champions, Stephen Ames (2023) and Ricardo Gonzalez (2024), exemplifying the enduring appeal of this high-caliber event. Joining the field are distinguished players like Major winners Tom Lehman and Stewart Cink, the ever-charismatic Miguel Ángel Jiménez, Steven Alker (the No. 1 player on the 2024 Champions Tour), and celebrated Asian players such as Y.E. Yang, the first Asian Major champion, South Korean golf legend K.J. Choi, and Thailand’s Thongchai Jaidee.

Once again, the Hassan II Trophy promises to celebrate golf in its many dimensions—blending athleticism, tradition, and spectacle into a singularly unforgettable experience.
