The pro-ams for the 48th edition of the Hassan II Trophy and the 27th edition of the Lalla Meryem Cup are drawing to a close. As tradition would have it, the start of this golfing week is a true celebration of golf for all enthusiasts. Professionals from the PGA Tour Champions and Ladies European Tour teamed up with amateur players, both adults and juniors, in a competition which, as usual, took place in a sporting atmosphere marked by fair play.
The PGA Tour Champions pro-am got the ball rolling on Tuesday February 20 on the Red course, while the second day saw the Lalla Meryem Cup take place on the blue course. His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid‘s team, comprising Mr. Karim Guessous and Mr. Omar Lahjomri, accompanied by German champion Alex Cejka and Mexican champion Maria Fassi, performed brilliantly, taking 2nd place in both the PGA Tour Champions pro-am and the Hassan II Trophy pro-am.
2 other pro-ams took place on Wednesday February 21st. The “PGA Tour Champions Friendship Cup” pro-am was held on the Red course, and the “Hassan II Kids Cup by First Tee” pro-am saw the participation of 9 teams, made up of children from the national First Tee program and professional players from the two circuits present this week.
All the courses and facilities at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam were successfully mobilized for this celebration of golf.
