The Italian Francesco Molinari won the Arnold Palmer by making a card of 64
Italian Francesco Molinari won on Sunday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, counting for the PGA Tour, making an impressive 64 in the last round played on the course of Bay Hill in Florida.
Molinari finished with a total of 276 (-12), having started the day in the 17th place before falling behind all of his competitors.
Molinari, who won last year’s European Ryder Cup win over the United States, has eight birdies.
Leader the day before, the British Matthew Fitzpatrick failed in second place, two shots from Molinari (-10), making a 71 card.
South Korean Im Sung-jae, England’s Tommy Fleetwood and Spanish Rafa Cabrera Bello share third place with a total of 279 (-9).
Rory McIlroy, meanwhile, stayed in the par sunday, finishing sixth with four shots.
