2nd Edition – Kids Cup On the green course of the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat
The week of the Hassan II Trophy and the 2019 Lalla Meryem Cup is punctuated by many highlights, including the day dedicated to the Kids Cup.
Tribute to young golfer Zouhair Ahmed Hajji (Special Olympics World Games Silver Medal – Abu Dhabi 2019).
While the game is taking its course on the blue and red courses of the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam, talented golfers have taken, today, the green course of the Royal Golf to compete in the second edition of the Kids Cup Royal Golf Dar Salam.
This tournament, reserved for children aged 5 to 12, attracted 72 participants from 20 clubs in the Kingdom (El Jadida, Rabat, Marrakech, Saidia, Casablanca, etc.). At the start of the green course’s hole N°1, they were divided into two mixed series, 5-10 years and 11-12 years, to compete in the Scramble/ 6 holes.
After a morning of competition, the children attended a Clinic animated by professional Lacoste players, as well as the Trick Show of maestro David Edwards which offered an impressive golfing show.
14 budding golfers stood out and were awarded prizes at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam practice, in the presence of Vice Presidents of the Hassan II Trophy Association, Mr. Mustapha Zine and Mr. Hassan El Mansouri, and Mr. Tariq Sijilmassi, President of Crédit Agricole du Maroc and Mr. Abdellatif El Bachari, Tournament Director.
At this ceremony, the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association paid tribute to golfer Zouhair Ahmed Hajji of Special Olympics Morocco, who won a silver medal at the recent 15th Special Olympics World Games – Abu Dhabi 2019.
